Tasks at the Food Shelf:
We have many opportunities that can fit your schedule and abilities:

Distribution days: MWF Work on a computer registering clients, help clients determine what they need and record weight of food received, fill baskets for clients.

Sorting donations received: Daily, M-F: Work with perishables, and shelf staple goods.

Driver- picks up donations from areas around town: Using your own vehicle, weigh and log temperature of goods.

Restocking shelves TThF: restock shelves with shelf stable grocery goods.

Monthly food delivery: generally, 2nd Thursday of every month, help move goods from pallets to shelves and date the boxes.

Commodity Surplus Food Program Distribution: 3rd Wednesday of every month: distribute boxes of food at the food shelf to registered clients.

Community Produce Distribution: Generally, end of summer, weekly distribution of fresh produce to the community.
Shift Opportunities at the Food Shelf:
We have multiple shift opportunities Monday through Friday

M-F; 2-2.5 hours processing donations
-
MWF- in addition to processing donations these distribution days shifts are 6 hours, but can be shared with others.
-
T-TH restocking varies on how empty the shelves are, but generally last 2 hours.
